MEET WINTER PLANS

WINTER PLANS is comprised of singer/songwriter JG Kemper (formerly of the duo SUMMER PLANS) and Virginia native singer/songwriter Kayce Laine, who currently resides in Nashville, TN. 

JG previously collaborated with Kayce’s older sister Kara McGehee for Summer Plans, and that duo released two albums including a self-titled debut album that launched with celebrity support to over 7 MILLION followers on social media, radio plays, a launch date NY Post mention and more in its first 24 hours. The duo subsequently launched ECHOES to tremendous popular and celebrity support. 

Meanwhile, Kayce has been a successful songwriter, performer, producer and arranger of original songs since graduating from the University of Virginia. Prior relocating to Nashville, she performed in a variety of capacities in original bands, cover bands, and she continues to perform a solo artist and studio musician. The daughter of acclaimed singer/songwriter Lewis McGehee, Kayce previously released ECHOES and is working on her next album. 

During the winter of 2019, JG began writing music about isolation. Little did he know, the COVID pandemic was coming a few months later and the rest of the world would understand isolation in a way never experienced before in our lifetime. During Spring 2020, JG shared his songs with Kayce and the two formed the duo of WINTER PLANS.
